Spring Lake guards have been offered a free spin class. The class will occur on a Tue, June 18 from 7:00-8:00 at night, at  Ocean WOW.  I need to know if you are interested because there are only 30 bikes.  Please e-mail me if interested so I can complete the class set up.

Beach rookie school will be June 25 and 26 from 10-6.  Please report to the North End office, bring food, sun block, fins, goggles, etc, what you need for the day. 


Pool refresher meeting will be July 27 from 1:00 - 2:00, and new pool guards will stay until 3:00.  This will be at the South End pool


Family First Urgent Care is a medical facility, open 7 days a week with evening hours, located on Route 35 in Oakhurst.  Family First Urgent Care is a facility that treats you like family.  We are a walk-in facility, and we also accept appointments, as well as most insurances.


We provide immediate care for all ages and treat acute non-life threatening illnesses such as the following:


  • Minor cuts, sutures, and burns
  • Sprains, strains and simple fractures
  • Pre-employment or complete physical exams
  • Primary and Preventive Care
  • Blood work drawn on site
  • X-Rays taken on site


Our physicians and staff strongly believe in community service, and we have started a community outreach program to local lifeguards.  Dr. Richard Mojares, our Medical Director, met with the Long Branch lifeguards for breakfast and gave a talk on summer health issues and the initial treatment of an elderly sick patient on the beach.  The response was amazing and we received excellent feedback from the Long Branch lifeguard community.  We would like to offer your staff the same opportunity.

June 27 - Boat exchanges and paddleboard - 3:00 at E & S

June 28 - Distance run, distance swim, and make ups for other events - 3:00 at Washington.
